I'm having issues installing my device. What should I do?

This article will help you if you encounter any of the following issues:

- You have trouble finding your Withings Activité™ via Bluetooth
- Your Withings Activité™ doesn't restart after the installation
- Your Withings Activité™ doesn't vibrate when you press the reset button
- The setup process fails

Before proceeding with troubleshooting, please make sure that your device is compatible with the Withings Activité™.

 


 

You have trouble finding your Withings Activité™ via Bluetooth

  1. Make sure your Withings Activité™ is close enough to your mobile device (10 m/30 ft.).
  2. Make sure your Withings Activité™ vibrates when you press the reset button.
  3. Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your mobile device, if necessary.
  4. If your Withings Activité™ is still not detected in Bluetooth, press the reset button five times.
    After pressing the button five times, your Withings Activité™ should vibrate twice.
  5. Try the installation process again.

Android 6 users may have to change the permissions of the app to be able to connect via BLE. To do so, go to Settings > Apps > Withings > Permissions and enable Location.

Your Withings Activité™ doesn't restart after the installation

If your Withings Activité™ doesn't restart after the installation, try to perform a factory reset. To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. Press the reset button five times.
    Make sure your Withings Activité™ vibrates each time you press the button.
    After pressing the button five times, your Withings Activité™ should vibrate twice.
  2. Try the installation process again.

Your Withings Activité™ doesn't vibrate when you press the reset button

If your Withings Activité™ Pop doesn't vibrate, perform the following steps:

  1. Try pushing the reset button more firmly with the tool.
  2. Try pushing the button at different angles with the tool, as some angles may give better results than other.

The setup process fails

 If the setup process fails:

  1. Make sure you have access to the internet on your mobile device.
  2. Make sure that you don't put the app in background during the installation process.
  3. Make sure that your mobile device is not asleep during the installation process.
  4. Keep your Withings Activité™ close to your mobile device during the installation process.
